While exploring the islands, keep an eye out for a beige rectangle featuring a red X. These treasure maps can spawn on multiple islands, but it's important to note that not all islands will have a map.
How To Follow Treasure Maps
Upon acquiring a treasure map, utilize it to obtain an aerial perspective of the island you should endeavor to explore. It is important to note that the island indicated on the map will always differ from the one where you initially discovered the map.
Within the map, you will come across a diminutive, crimson X positioned in a specific location, denoting the spot where the treasure is concealed beneath the ground.
In the event that you have conducted a substantial amount of exploration within your world, employ your comprehensive map to search for the island that corresponds to the view depicted on your treasure map. Should you be unable to locate it, continue exploring your world and reexamine the map once you have discovered additional islands.
How To Find Buried Treasure
Upon reaching the correct island, proceed towards the designated area marked by the X on your map.
Exercise utmost attention to the intricate details depicted in the image on your map. Variations in elevation, the presence of water features, staircases, adjacent islands, and ornamental flowers will be highlighted and can serve as valuable clues to help pinpoint the precise location of the X.
Once you are prepared to commence digging, handle your hoe in a manner akin to cultivating farmland. If you excavate the correct location, a chest will manifest and exhibit behavior reminiscent of chests found within dungeons.
