Baldur's Gate 3: Unconventional Tricks for Ultimate Triumph!

Welcome, fellow adventurers, to the realm of Baldur's Gate 3! A land where danger lurks at every turn, and formidable foes stand in your path. But fear not, for we have gathered a compendium of unconventional tricks from the realm's speedrunners, those legendary beings who have mastered the art of doing things fast (not necessarily easier). With these tricks up your sleeve, you'll be able to conquer the game's most challenging modes and emerge victorious!

Now, before we dive into the magical bag of tricks, let's clarify something. These techniques are not exclusive to speedrunners. You can adopt them to enhance your own gameplay experience. So, without further ado, let's unveil the secrets that will lead you to triumph!

First up, we have the Jump Spell trick. Imagine giving this spell to a character with high Strength. With a single minor action, they can traverse immense distances, skipping encounters and reaching checkpoints with ease. Combine it with invisibility, and you'll ensure your safety. Picture yourself facing the mighty Netherbrain without even having to deal with its minions. It's a sight to behold!

Now, let's talk about shadowboxing. No, it's not an actual boxing match with shadows. It's a technique where you kill a companion, let's say Shadowheart, and use her corpse as an item. Place the corpse in a box, set the box on fire, and throw it at an area that triggers a cutscene. This nifty trick allows you to skip certain boss fights and have all the resources you need to end the game your way. It's like a fiery dance of death!

And who would have thought that Mario's jumping skills would come in handy in Baldur's Gate 3? Yes, my friends, jumping on enemies deals damage in this realm. The bigger you are, the better. Speedrunners have discovered the power of enlarging bears and using them to defeat unskippable fights. Just imagine a colossal, invisible bear pouncing on foes, dealing devastating blows. It's a spectacle that would make even Mario proud!

Now, let's journey to Act Three, where you'll encounter Gortash, one of the main antagonists. Speedrunners have uncovered a sneaky way to deal with him. By entering his throne room from the side, turning invisible, and grabbing him as an improvised weapon, you can take him for a little flight. Picture the tyrant soaring through the air, his reign of terror coming to an abrupt end as he meets the ground below. It's a poetic justice of sorts, don't you think?

And what about playing in Honour Mode? Strategy takes precedence, and your companions become mere tools. Speedrunners have exploited this by recruiting no more than three party members for the entire journey. By denying Orin any potential kidnapping victims, she transforms into a small child. This knowledge allows speedrunners to bypass traps, using jumps and invisibility to confront Orin head-on, blasting her away with a flurry of spells. It's a battle of wits and power!

But wait, there's one final challenge—the ultimate battle. Legendary Actions make it a true nightmare, but we have a solution. If your entire party is invisible when entering the fight, it won't start. Your Illithid ally can fly straight to the Crown of Karsus and begin channeling. Yes, combat will commence, but your turn usually comes first in these fights. Since you were already channeling the Crown, when your first turn arrives, you can enter the Netherbrain immediately. It's like a magical shortcut to the final showdown!

But how do you defeat the Netherbrain, you ask? Fireworks! Yes, gather all the fireworks from the shop in Baldur's Gate, pile them up, and set them alight. The resulting explosion will most likely obliterate the Netherbrain with damage to spare. You can even keep this arsenal for other difficult fights or use it as insurance for the Netherbrain. Just imagine the grand finale, the sky ablaze with colorful pyrotechnics as your victory is sealed.

So, my brave adventurers, armed with these unconventional tricks, you're ready to conquer Baldur's Gate 3 like never before. Embrace the unexpected, dance with shadows, leap like a bear, and soar to victory. May your journey be filled with humor, triumph, and the joy of discovering the artistry hidden within this extraordinary realm. Onward, to adventure!
